Serving local communities

Adar Foundation’s local programs focus on advocacy and education. Our national goal is to educate the public, engage the U.S. Congress, encourage and assist in establishing student clubs, community centers and partner with key institutions to appeal for help in building strong communities.

Over the years, Adar Foundation played pivotal roles in its efforts of finding a lasting peace in Somalia and provided management support for national meetings that brought together Somali Diaspora and NGOs.

In its efforts of shedding light on the plight of Somali civilians, co-founder of Adar Foundation has testified on the Humanitarian Crisis in Somalia and the Impact on women and children.  The hearing was held at the US Congress’s House Committee on Foreign Affairs’ Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health.
